FEED THE FUTURE INNOVATION LAB FOR HORTICULTURE ANNUAL MEETING

The 2023 Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Horticulture (ILH) annual meeting is being organized by the Innovation Lab for Horticulture and the International Center for Evaluation and Development (ICED), the host organization for the East Africa Horticulture Regional Hub. The meeting will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from the 20th -26th May, 2023. The annual meeting brings together the Lab’s International Advisory Board, Consortium partners, regional hub managers, management entity team from University of California, Davis and Project Investigators from the different regional hubs. The regional hubs are: West Africa, East Africa, South Asia and Central America. The annual meeting provides a platform for sharing research results / knowledge, capacity strengthening, and cross-collaborating.

ILH Public Conference Day.

Onboarding session for new Project Principal Investigators.

Capacity-strengthening day on GenderUp and Evidence-Informed Policy and Practices.

TRAVEL AND LOGISTICS

Passport and Visa Requirements

Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in Kenya, with at least two blank pages. You will also need to obtain a visa prior to your arrival. Visa requirements vary depending on your country of origin. It’s the sole responsibility of all visitors intending to enter the Republic of Kenya to check visa requirements. We advise that you check with your nearest Kenyan embassy or consulate to determine the specific requirements for your nationality. VISA Application

Application for a Kenya Visa is available online through https://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html, or can be done on arrival, depending on regulation applicable as per your nationality. Please verify applicability on https://evisa.go.ke/eligibility.html.

Accomodations

Reservations have been made for all participating delegates at the Trademark Hotel (https://www.trademark-hotel.com/). This includes airport transfers on arrival and departure per indicated itinerary.

Covid 19 Requirements

All passengers arriving in Kenya through any point of entry must have a certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination. Covid test results must be verified and entered on the Pana bios traveler network or on global haven www.globalhaven.org. The mandatory Ministry of Health Travelers Health Surveillance Online Form must be filled out and submitted prior to travel. The online form can be accessed from the Ministry of Health website: https://ears.health.go.ke/airline_registration/. After submission of the travel surveillance form, Passengers are advised to download the QR code. Passengers will be required to display the QR code to port health officials on arrival for them to be allowed to proceed to arrival immigration.

Yellow Fever
